Co-Management Liaison
The Co-Management Agreement, made in 1996 with the Minister of Health and Chiefs of Treaties, 6, 7 & 8, provides for conjointly assessing, planning, and managing the administration of the Regional Envelope. (This is unique to Alberta).
The role of the Co-Management Liaison is to represent the collective interests of Treaty 7 at the technical/ committee level by:
- working conjointly on health and health related issues
- ensuring the representation and participation of the Treaty 7 communities and
- gathering and disseminating relevant information to Treaty 7 communities (programs, healthmanagement & leadership)
Recent Co-Management reorganization has left 6 “clustered” Sub-Committees, a temporary Implementation Committee and a new independent Health Secretariat
